I would not have guessed that someone who had fought so hard and had so much determination, would then become even after winning his fight for equality. Also, I found it interesting that even with all the things Gandhi had went through, he remained such a peaceful man and never caused any harm to anyone. Finally, I found it to be very interesting the strength of Harriet Tubman. Rather than remaining hidden after escaping the south, she became an activist and fought for the entire country to be freed. In conclusion, through all the struggles and battles Harriet went through in her life, she was a very strong woman and made a great difference. Most of the crimes that took place in London were crimes that involved stealing. Pickpocket gangs and street gamblers were a regular sight when walking down a major London street. Prostitution was also a big money maker on the streets, done by both girls and boys. But crimes though out the middle class and rich were mostly property crimes and disputes which made up 90% of all crimes committed by the upper-class. In Victorian England and like today there a two categories which crimes fall under. Indictable which is the same as our felony crimes that make up all of the major crimes. These crimes consist of: Murder, armed robbery, burglary, larceny, rape, and assaults on the police. The next called category is called Summery crimes which is equal to our misdemeanor crimes. Summery crimes were all minor crimes such as: Property cr imes, Vagrancy, Drunkenness, Prostitution, Minor Larceny , and all other minor offenses. Jack the Ripper was the first modern sexual serial killer ( Sugden, pg.2) Jacks trademark was the killing of female prostitutes. Jack the Ripper wasnt his only nickname, he was also called the Whitechaple murder because the bodys were found near the Whitechapel Road, and The Leather Apron because of a man that would come by and beat up the prostitutes for no reason. Most of there men were old soldiers, and many of them were dismissed from the force for drunkenness. Later on the force started to become a real Police force, and the people of London appreciated it. The main conflict in this play is the conflict between Oberon and Titania (the fairy queens) because both are jealousy of each other. Oberon is very angry and plays a trick. He orders his servant Puck to bring his a special flower who causes on to love the first person a person sees. Oberon gives it her and she falls in love with Bottom, an ugly creature. Puck gives this charm juice the other lovers and causes a big confusing. Oberon sees that and orders puck to cancel it. He makes this and all was again good.
